We're glad you asked! The Bid Lab requires a signed service agreement and an initial 10-hour invoice be paid before work commences. By doing so, The Bid Lab's experts are able to start working on creating the documentation for your bid before we even have our first kick-off call.

The Bid Lab will not assist two (2) competing firms on a singular RFP. We will also not respond to RFPs that were issued by another client as part of our Bid Builder service.
We work on a first-come-first-serve basis to protect the privacy and confidentiality of our clients. If you are partnering with another firm, we will absolutely help you both submit a response. We cannot, however, help two (2) different firms submit two (2) different responses to the same bid. As Bid Managers and Bid Builders, we aim to do as much of the work for you as humanly possible. This includes everything from finding the perfect bid to match your business strategy to writing a fully compliant and compelling response, and everything in between (and after!).
That said, RFPs by nature do require very specific information pertaining to that project. Sometimes, they even request confidential financial information that no one except your internal team has access to. So, in short, yes, as Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) in your industry and of your company, RFPs will require your input and expertise. But, working with Bid Managers at The Bid Lab will ensure that any input required from you is as minimal and as organized as possible.
And with each successive bid, our account and project managers learn more about your business, which means we can build out a design and content database to store responses from your team that minimizes the amount of input needed as time goes on.
Definitely! The Bid Lab will take any existing collateral that you have and repurpose the content for the RFP in scope. In fact, after your first bid, our bid management team will leverage that first RFP response for each subsequent bid to streamline our management process. This reduces the overall time required to respond to each RFP; for many of our clients, an initial RFP took nearly forty (40) hours, whereas subsequent bids take less than twenty (20) hours.
The caveat is, in order to write winning bids, responses must be crafted directly in response to that client and their project’s scope of work. So, while your existing marketing content is great to help fill in many of the blanks, it is not a replacement for writing original RFP content. We also do not suggest filling in blanks by “copying and pasting” previously submitted bid responses. The Bid Lab takes the time to individualize each response, while utilizing existing information to meet that specific client’s need.
Our team of Bid Finders utilize databases at industry, state, and local levels to find RFPs that match our clients’ needs. We use human intelligence to first identify a client’s unique parameters, then scour those databases to source and match bid opportunities. Many of our competitors utilize A.I. technology to help source RFPs for clients. While this technology is quick to return RFPs and minimize their costs in finding you bids, it produces a high quantity with less of a focus on quality.
