01Getting Started
Q01
How does The Bid Lab work?

The Bid Lab builds Bid Banana, our RFP search platform. You sign up yourself, start a 7-day free trial, and search 1.6 million+ government and private bid pages across all 50 states — filtering by state, agency, industry, and value until you find the bids worth your time. Save a search and Bid Banana emails you new matches daily. There is no sales call and no onboarding process to sit through.

Q02
Is there a minimum commitment or contract?

No. Bid Banana is $49.99 a month, billed monthly, and you can cancel at any time from your account settings — your access stays active through the end of the period you've paid for. There is no annual contract to negotiate. If you'd rather pay yearly, the annual plan is $479.99, which is 20% off twelve months at the monthly rate.

Q03
How quickly can I start searching?

Immediately. Signing up takes a couple of minutes and the 7-day free trial opens the full platform — every state, every feature — from the first search. If you already have a deadline coming, the closed-bid and award data is the fastest way to see who has won similar work before.

02Pricing
Q04
How is pricing determined?

It isn't determined, it's published: $49.99 a month, flat, for everyone. The price does not change with how many states you search, how many documents you download, or how large your company is. There are no tiers and no add-ons, which is why the number can sit on the pricing page instead of behind a quote request.

Q05
Are there any additional fees?

No. The subscription is all-inclusive: search, saved-search alerts, AI document analysis, award and closed-bid research, buyer profiles, and the mobile apps are all part of the same $49.99. There are no document download quotas and no per-state charges.

Q06
Do I have to talk to sales to get a price?

No. The price is on the pricing page and you can sign up yourself. That is deliberate — bid databases are usually sold by quote, where what you pay depends on a call, a region, and how many seats you negotiate for.

03Using Bid Banana
Q07
What do I need to provide to get started?

An email address and a payment method to open the trial. That's it — Bid Banana is not an onboarding project, so there is nothing to implement and no intake call. Building out a company profile is optional, and it improves how well the platform matches opportunities to what you actually do.

Q08
How do I keep track of new opportunities?

Save a search once and Bid Banana emails you the new matches every day, so you are not re-running the same query. Favorites keep the bids you're weighing in one place, and the iOS and Android apps mean a match can reach you before you're back at a desk.

Q09
Do you guarantee I'll win?

No one can guarantee a win — the decision belongs to the evaluators. What the platform is built to guarantee is that you see the opportunity while there is still time to bid on it, and that you can look up who won similar work before deciding whether it is worth your effort.

Q10
How does AI fit into the platform?

AI reads the bid documents so you don't have to: it summarizes long solicitations and pulls out the requirements, deadlines, and eligibility conditions buried in them. It is there to get you to a go/no-go decision faster. The decision is still yours.

04Industries & Scope
Q11
What industries do you serve?

The Bid Lab has case studies across 18+ industries: government, healthcare, technology, education, legal, finance, marketing, consulting, real estate, property development, nonprofit, tourism, event services, corporate services, professional development, staff augmentation, risk management, and security & monitoring. If there are RFPs in your industry, they are in Bid Banana.

Q12
Does Bid Banana cover government and private sector RFPs?

Both. Federal, state, county, and city procurement, plus school districts, universities, transit and utility authorities, hospitals, and nonprofits — and private-sector opportunities alongside them. Competitive bidding is competitive bidding, and it is all in the same search.

Q13
Can Bid Banana help me find RFPs, or only research ones I've found?

Both. Search and filter 1.6M+ bid opportunities to find work you didn't know was out there, or look up a solicitation you already have to see the closed bids and awarded contracts around it — who bid, who won, and at what value.

05Bid Banana & AI
Q14
What is Bid Banana?

Bid Banana is The Bid Lab's proprietary AI-powered RFP search platform. It indexes 1.6M+ bid opportunities across active RFPs, closed bids, and award data — searchable across 4,000+ entities in all 50 states. Includes AI document analysis, company profiles, saved searches with email alerts, and a mobile app. $49.99/month flat pricing with a 7-day free trial. Available at bidbanana.thebidlab.com.

Q15
Is my RFP data secure when you use AI?

Yes. Documents uploaded to our AI workflows are processed in memory and never stored long-term. We publish a formal AI Use Policy (effective June 1, 2026) that governs exactly how we handle your data. Human consultants review every AI output before it reaches you or your evaluators.
